Welcome to Lora Moulton Virtual Assistant, or LMVA for short! I’m Lora Moulton, of course, because who else would name their business Lora Moulton Virtual Assistant!

My whole career has been in admin, except that little stint where, as kids, my sister and I counted coins from the vending machines in Mum & Dads business!

Until I became a virtual assistant, and spending my whole working life in admin, this also meant working 9 til 5, Monday til Friday. While it seemed like everyone else was off enjoying themselves by riding their horses on sunny afternoons or heading off camping early for a long weekend … you guessed it, I was sitting in an office looking out the window, wishing I had a bit of flexibility to do the same.

The thing that really pushed me into making a change, was many years later. After being head hunted by a company that ended up being quite toxic, I found myself doubting my career choices. It took me far too long to leave them behind, and when I did, it was on a whim with no future job lined up, because I needed to get out and never see them again!

The idea of finding a new job, potentially misjudging again and ending up in another toxic environment wasn’t appealing. So, I began looking into my options and came across virtual assistants and the VA Institute. I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own business. The rest as they say, is history.

Life is a journey, not a destination though, and on that note, there's been something to love about each of the different businesses I've been involved with, whether it be the people I met, the skills learned, or something else entirely.
